The living area is spacious and yet particularly cosy. The entire living and dining area is made up of an open-plan space which is incredibly peculiar. Whilst in the dining area the ceiling is of normal height, and there is even a balcony which looks out onto the square below, the centre of the apartment enjoys an abundance of light from an enormous velux window located in a higher part of the ceiling. The ceiling gradually slopes down across the living area and features attractive wooden beams. This really is a tremendously cosy attic apartment which enjoys an abundance of natural light.
The velux window has a remote-controlled blind to prevent unwanted light entering when not desired, for example when the sofa-bed is being used.
The lounge area is decorated in bright shades of pistachio green which combine with the lighter coloured sofa covered in green leather cushions. In turn, the sofa contrasts with the dark wengue wood of the cupboards. On the floor is a beautiful black woollen rug with an easily moveable table on wheels. Where the ceiling is at its lowest there are two synthetic pistachio- coloured footrests.
All of the furniture is of the highest quality and very attractive.
The finishing touches to the décor are provided by various original paintings on the walls, the majority by the American artist Amy Giacomelli, who is undoubtedly one of our favourite artists.
The dining area comprises a white and glass wengue table, with four matching black and white upholstered chairs. In addition there is also an attractive sideboard complete with mirror which hangs on the wall and which also serves as a table for leaving keys and anything else that is needed close at hand.
The kitchen is separated from the dining area by a glass wall and has a modern design which combines the grey of the floor, worktops and appliances with the white of the cupboards. There is ample space to cook, the cooker has a glass-ceramic hob, a SMEG smoke extractor, and all the utensils necessary for your stay as described in the facilities section.
There is also another small table which can be used a breakfast table, complete with two folding chairs.
